In Brussels, we have our Structural and Mechatronics Engineering offices, where all our new programs begin and our workshops are equipped with modern machines that produce complex metallic assemblies for aircraft and space launchers as well as advanced Thrust Vectoring Systems for space launchers.

Mission:

Your main mission as Manufacturing Engineer IQA is to ensure the industrialization of products and implement the corresponding processes.

Responsabilities:

  • Participate in the development of new products and be responsible for industrial decisions: optimization of part design, definition of industrial means and manufacturing processes;
  • Validate drawings issued by the design office to ensure optimal industrialization and inspection;
  • Implement manufacturing and inspection processes (SAP routings, technical documentation, inspection sheets, definition of tooling requirements, etc.);
  • Ensure the industrialization of inspection for primary parts and assemblies;
  • Prepare and/or manage specific industrial documentation (PFMEA, Control Plan, FAI, work instructions, …);
  • Support the launch of first article production (FAI) and define the necessary inspection documentation;
  • Develop and manage inspection programs on CMM machines for FAI and serial production;
  • Study and improve workstations (ergonomics, layout and safety conditions), including inspection activities;
  • Optimize and validate production and inspection processes for serial production;
  • Size production means and validate operational cycle times;
  • Participate in the development of PFMEAs;
  • Propose improvements to testing, validation and inspection procedures;
  • Analyze changes in customer requirements and their impact on manufacturing and inspection processes;
  • Analyze deviations and propose corrective actions, ensuring compliance with cost, quality and delivery requirements;
  • Initiate activities to reduce variation (SPC);
  • Participate in investment projects (technical innovations) to optimize manufacturing, testing and inspection processes;
  • Contribute to strategic roadmaps by proposing and justifying investments (machines, tooling, calibration, plant);
  • Prepare quotations for new project tenders;
  • Ensure continuous improvement of inspection.

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with the EN9100 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard;
  • Performing rigorous self-checks to guarantee the quality and conformity of the work;
  • Transferring your skills and knowledge to new team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support;
  • Complying with safety, health, and environmental rules;
  • Reporting risks and applying procedures to prevent incidents.

Profile:

Education / Experience:

  • Education: You hold a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, or you have an engineering-level background in mechanics.
  • Desired experience:
  • You have experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (3D printing, additive manufacturing, composites) ;
  • You have experience in manufacturing project management, including planning, coordination, and follow-up.

  • You are proficient in standard office tools (MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint);
  • You have initial experience with an ERP system (ideally SAP);
  • Knowledge of CAD software (e.g. CATIA V5, SolidWorks) is an asset.
