Sabca Limburg boasts impressive industrial capabilities for highly automated production of complex composite parts through automated tape laying and the recently acquired automated fiber placement technology. Building on strong competence in the civil aviation sector, it now also supports Europe’s growth in the defense industry by producing integrated composite assemblies for the F-35 fighter jet. SABCA produces the composite horizontal tail planes, wing skins and fuselage panels of the F-35 in its plant in Limburg. Through process innovation, SABCA is able to produce these parts with the highest levels of quality and at a competitive cost structure. Additionally, the plant also produces all radomes of the General Atomics MQ-9B, mastering the industrial complexities driven by the material constraints on those parts
