Materials for the aerospace industry must be light, strong and tailored to precision. A small change in these parameters can affect the overall performance of the flying platform, whether it is a plane, drone or space launcher. 

At SABCA we master the art of designing and manufacturing robust and large structures in aluminum and composite. Through its long history SABCA has perfected its capability to deliver these so-called plug & fly structures. 



These “integrated assemblies” are entirely built at our sites in Brussels, Lummen and Casablanca. They are based on multi-technology solutions and delivered to our customers, ready to be integrated into their airplanes or launchers.

Composite structures

Strong, lightweight materials are essential to the further development of aviation. SABCA therefore invested in cutting edge technology  and equipment to lead the transition of the industry. This includes cutting tables, hand lay-up, automated tape layers, hot drape forming, large autoclaves, robotized ultrasonic inspection, CNC trimming and painting.

Surface Treatment

One of the largest aerospace qualified surface treatments line of Belgium is available at SABCA Brussels. Qualified since early 2013, it covers our needs and allows to offer a part of our capacity to answer the growing market demand for “build to print” activities.
